One of our favorite parts about booking weddings is getting to know our couples – being their photographer feels more like being part of their families, and that’s important to us. You know how in life there are those moments when you meet a couple, and you get to talking about what they do, where they live, how they met, etc. And then you ask, “Well, where are you from?” Yeah, that last one got us with Ken and Gary because Gary replied, “I’m from a really little village in Logan County that no one has ever even heard of.” To which Bill responded, “Try me.” And when Gary said, “Middletown,” Bill and I laughed.…

Some of the most artistic shots occur for us when we’re given three components: A) environmental cooperation i.e., location/weather, B) time and C) trust. With Jody and Steve we pretty much had the latter two from the get-go, but on their wedding day over Labor Day Weekend, that environmental cooperation thing (and yeah, I totally made that up…lol) was hit or miss.…

Sometimes, I wish we could do destination weddings. But we’d miss our children. Too much. That said, we’d love to head to Mexico later this month to shoot the tropical nuptials of Lindsay and Nate. Why? Because they’re fun! And it’ll be gorgeous!!…
