One of our favorite parts about booking weddings is getting to know our couples – being their photographer feels more like being part of their families, and that’s important to us. Leslie and Chuck were pretty comfortable in front of our lenses on their wedding day, but we’d already spent a couple hours together on a hot, sticky, humid day surrounded by cicadas during their engagement session.…

You know how in life there are those moments when you meet a couple, and you get to talking about what they do, where they live, how they met, etc. And then you ask, “Well, where are you from?” Yeah, that last one got us with Ken and Gary because Gary replied, “I’m from a really little village in Logan County that no one has ever even heard of.” To which Bill responded, “Try me.” And when Gary said, “Middletown,” Bill and I laughed.…
